Hit a wall today.

Hi friends,

I didn’t actually hit a wall. I was checking my stats and, although I have been doing everything I have been told to do, the numbers weren’t as high as I had hoped, so I got a bit disheartened. Then I stopped myself and gave myself a good shake, which is a lot harder to do than it sounds :-)

The Power of a Decision

What is the difference between success in your new online venture and failure?

There are many answers to this of course, but for the purposes of this article I am referring to the mindset of the individual entrepreneur. A decision needs to be made up front, before the practical steps of getting an internet presence are established. But what do I really mean by a decision?

The journey so far.

Hi folks, hope everyone’s well today.

Well, what a great few days it’s been. I’ve been exploring blogs, writing posts and comments and ultimately writing what turned out to be an essay for my previous post called Suitcases and Web Spaces. It made the comparison between planning a business and planning a vacation. I had a lot of fun writing it and the words seemed to flow.

From a traffic generation perspective, I decided to publish it to Ezine Articles so others can use it for content should they wish. My link is in the resource box and anyone who uses it must include the resource box, so will provide valuable backlinks and traffic.

First stage: Tell my Twitter Followers about my Posts.

Ok folks, the first stage in my traffic plan is complete.

I used Twitterfeed (http://twitterfeed.com) to link my blog to my Twitter account. As of today I have built 18,703 followers, most with an interest in internet marketing.

I have now set it up so that each new blog post creates a tweet automatically.

I created a video showing the process. Please comment if you would like to see it.

All the best,

Dave

Update: Thanks for the comments. This shows how I get the blog to post on Twitter. I will explain how I got 18,703 followers in another post.
